About
Hotbeam is a division of BSU Pty Ltd located in Melbourne, Australia. Solid-state lighting technology has been amongst us for many years with applications mainly restricted to indicator-type devices, eg. clock radios and all types of instrumentation indicators.
Continuous improvements in efficiency have seen the availability of high and super high brightness LEDs. These LEDs are slowly being used to replace traditional incandescent lighting in many areas of our lives. The applications typically require durability, coolness in operation and immediate reactivity, eg. traffic, automotive, display and architectural lighting.
Adopting solid-state lighting in the mainstream means more efficient use of energy, much reduced running costs and lower drain of natural resources. Newly developed LED-based products such as flashlights, residential and commercial lighting bring day to day applications of the technology directly to the consumer.
Hotbeam is involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of these LED-based products. Hotbeam also sources innovative products from Australia and abroad, making these products available to well established and newly developed distribution channels.
